SAVI really is an excellent organization that, like the reviewer before me mentioned, helps people during one of the worst times in their lives. I really think that becoming an advocate is one of the most worthwhile things one can do to help your fellow human being (not to mention: you become a NYS Certified Rape Crisis Counselor if you're into boosting your resume). Everyone here is very helpful. Do it!

Being a SAVI Advocate enables me to "be there" for another human being at one of the worst times of thier lives. The SAVI staff is very supportive and encouraging, and really work to continously improve processes and procedures for volunteers.
