Back Pack Buddies feeds children who receive free breakfast and lunch at school.
When they go home on Friday many have no food to eat on the weekends. We work with schools who identify these children. 2000 food packs are delivered to the schools and put in the Back Packs on Friday. This keeps them from being hungry on Saturday and Sunday.
Mission Statement
That no child should be hungry on weekends when school is out. That children should be able to walk into the classroom with heads up and be on an even keel with the other kids. We provide new shoes, bookbags, clothes and supplies so the childen we serve can do this, It builds self esteem and grades go up.
