Mission Statement
The Shorefront YM-YWHA strives to meet the social, cultural, educational and recreational needs of the residents of our community. Our goals include facilitating the integration and acculturation of newly arriving immigrants, primarily from the former Soviet Union; strengthening the identity and self-esteem of the community; and promoting positive inter-group relations
Description
The Shorefront YM-YWHA's set of services includes early childhood programs (day care for infants and toddlers, preschool, including Universal Pre-K classes, after school program), teen programming, athletic and recreation classes for children and adults, a senior center, resettlement services, including counseling, case management, crisis intervention, assistance with child health insurance, information and referral, legal consultations, award winning English as a Second Language services (to more than 1,000 students each year) and citizenship preparation classes.
