Early Music in Motion (EMIM) was established in 2006 to bring historically informed performance or "early music" to rural and underserved communities and most especially to young audiences. We strive to expose and educate communities about these repertories as well as to foster community interaction through music making, audience participation, and exploring the historical contexts of this music. We offer diverse ways of reaching audiences by giving performances and "informances", as well as providing scenarios that encourage musical instruction and community interaction.
