Mission Statement

OUR MISSION: "Working to Provide a Life of Love and Dignity to ALL Animals!" Chesapeake Cats & Dogs (CCAD) is a no-kill animal rescue that is dedicated to rehabilitating and providing a second chance to cats and dogs that have been abandoned, abused, lost, strayed, or surrendered. Through our community outreach events around the region, we teach and encourage responsible pet ownership and pet population control. Our all-volunteer organization works diligently to locate loving and responsible owners who wish to make their new pets members of their family--forever! CCAD remains committed to helping end the needless overpopulation, death, abuse, and neglect of dogs and cats in our area and improving their lives as well as the lives of their new owners. We would love to have you join us-- YOU can make a difference!

Description

Chesapeake Cats and Dogs is a 501C(3) non-profit animal rescue organization. CCAD formed in 2006 and consists of a dedicated group of volunteers "working to provide a life of love and dignity for all animals." We have found homes for over 2,000 cats and dogs. Our cats reside in our cage-free adoption center while our dogs are in foster homes or at Dandyland Pet Care Center in Centreville.

We are a no-kill animal rescue and a network partner of Best Friends Animal Society. When we take in an animal, they are with us until we can place them in a good, loving home. To do this, we rely on regular adoptions and volunteers! There are many ways to help these animals; please consider opening your hearts to these cats and dogs who only want what we all do: to be happy, safe, and loved.
