At the Order of the Fishermen Ministry (TOFM) Head Start, we are motivated by the belief that our children are precious gifts. We believe children develop best when they have quality experiences that build confidence, teach them how the world works and challenge them to learn and grow. We believe that parents are a child’s first and best teachers. We believe families grow strong in a nurturing, loving and encouraging environment.
TOFM Head Start is dedicated to providing income eligible families of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds in Midtown Detroit the very best in both early childhood education
and human services. All Head Start services are provided to our children and families at no cost. Our challenge then is to be effective, innovative and financially responsible... in a changing world; while being ever mindful to envelop and inspire each of our children and their families with excellence and love! And, we take this challenge very seriously!
To meet this challenge, we work diligently to ensure that TOFM Head Start offers opportunities for the entire family - opportunities to learn new things, to develop new skills and to make new friends!
