Mission Statement
The mission of the United Methodist Relief Center is to address the problem of substandard housing and the underlying causes of poverty in the rural areas of Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties, and in additional rural communities in South Carolina through partnerships with other housing agencies.
Description
The United Methodist Relief Center (UMRC) offers housing assistance to low and very low-income rural families, providing rehabilitation or replacement of substandard owner-occupied homes and opportunities for first- time homebuyers.
