Mission Statement

Our mission is to help improve the health and well-being of people and the world we live in, both by encouraging mainstream Americans to discover the advantages and pleasures of vegetarian food, and by providing support and service to the vegetarian community.

Description

Vegetarians of Washington is a non-profit, based in Seattle, for people who choose a vegetarian diet for a variety of reasons: health, environment, compassion for animals, spiritual and more. We provide a friendly, supportive environment for anyone - whatever their current diet or motivation- interested in exploring the many benefits of going meatless. We provide monthly buffet dinners, cooking and nutrition classes, books, information and the biggest Vegetarian food festival in the country - Vegfest - held in the spring of each year, now at our new venue, the Pavilion at the Washington State Fair Events Center in Puyallup.
