Mission Statement
Our mission is to restore homeless veterans and others with their dignity, self-respect, and self-worth.
We do this by providing them with housing, job training and employment. There's an old proverb that says:
"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can eat for a lifetime"
Thus providing people with the tools necessary to sustain housing and employment. We are supported by private, corporate, government and individual donations.
We at the Stones That the Builders Rejected Street Project embrace this philosophy wholeheartedly. Instead of a hand out, we give them a hand up!Description
God has put it on my heart to begin a street project to help the homeless. I am doing his will and I'm on fire about it. I'm calling all of God's disciples to reach out and help us. He has been more than good to all of us!
I was homeless in 2006 and 2007 after owning a Mortgage Brokerage firm and making a six figure income. I lost everything and that's when I got to know Jesus in a real way! I went from a comfortable living in a great neighborhood to eating out of trash cans! I found out why Jesus hung out with the lowly and the lost. I know Him in a "Real" way now! I found a lot of love out there in those streets. It was real love because people don't have time to fake it when you're on that level.
I left my job as the Finance Manager making six figures again at an auto dealership in order to do God's will full time. He didn't save me to become a "Professional, Professional" still sitting in my comfy office. That's why I had to go through what I went through, so God could prepare me for this!
I'M ON FIRE!!I have NEVER been so happy and inspired in my life about anything. And I want to connect with people like you. Tell all your friends too. We need your support and your prayers. Thank u so much!
