Dawn Watch

Dawn Watch is a coalition of organizations and individual members united in opposing the establishment of radioactive waste dump owned by Newmont Mining Company in NE WA. The site is a defunct uranium mill site that is corrently contaminating waters of the Spokane Indian Reservation and a tributary of the Columbia River. Dawn Watch as well as the Spokane Tribe are sueing the state of Washington which has licensed the site. The issue involves environmetal contamination, minority discrimination and corruption in government. Dawn Watch has obtained WA State documents which claim that they are being blackmailed by the company and must PR the licensing process.

Mission Statement

To oppose the establishment of a new radioactive waste dump in Washington State at a site where past activities are contamination a Indian Reservation with radoacive and other contaminents.
