P2P's mobile pantry provides a week's worth of groceries to families in need. Shopping volunteers work directly on the Mobile Food Pantry truck at one of six Stamford locations helping clients make their grocery selections. Volunteers help by using a shopping list which was created for P2P by a nutritionist based on the USDA "My Plate" healthy eating style guidelines. Exceptional customer service skills a must. Two hour shifts are available during our operating hours: Monday 11am - 1pm Yerwood Center 90 Fairfield Avenue 2pm - 4pm Stamford Manor 26 Main Street Tuesday 11am - 1pm Ferguson Library South End Branch 34 Woodland Ave 2pm - 4pm 18 Quintard Terrace Wednesday 11am - 3pm DOMUS 83 Lockwood Ave Thursday 3pm - 7pm Building One Community 75 Selleck St Friday 11am - 1pm DOMUS Temporary 83 Lockwood Ave

Reception volunteers provide thoughtful care while greeting and checking in clients at our partner site locations in Stamford. Exceptional customer service skills and computer literacy, a must. Ability to speak Spanish or Creole, a plus. Afternoon pantry shoppers needed for P2P Norwalk site. Volunteers will assist clients inside pantry selecting food items for a week's worth of groceries. All volunteers, clients and staff are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. Wednesday afternoon from 12pm to 3pm is the shift we're looking to fill immediately. We are also looking to have substitute afternoon pantry shopper shifts. If you can't commit to a weekly schedule, we'd like you to consider becoming a sub.

Person-to-Person’s Clothing Center provides donated clothing to clients in need residing throughout Fairfield County, serving up to 70 families a day. Volunteers greet donors and clients. Volunteers sort and hang clothing and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the Clothing Center. Shifts are available during our operating hours Monday-Friday from 9-1pm. Masks are required. Volunteers' temperature will be screened before each shift. Gloves are optional but will be provided if preferred. All volunteers are expected to practice safe social distancing.

P2P Darien has a team of "van volunteers" who visit various organizations and stores to pick up donated merchandise. We are seeking people to join this great group of P2P ambassadors! Volunteers are needed Thursday and Friday mornings from 9-11am. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs! Our team meets up at P2P then heads out with an organized 'to-do' list. You'll visit local schools, stores, and community organizations. Make a difference - help us get valuable resources to those in need. No special driver's license required.
