Mission Statement

The mission of Family and Children's Association is to protect and strengthen Long Island's most vulnerable individuals including children, seniors and families. We offer assistance to those who are experiencing social, emotional and/or economic challenges.

Description

With over 30 programs reaching infants, children, teenagers, and seniors, Family and Children's volunteers are seen as a vital resource in our capacity to serve families of Long Island. You can make a difference in your community and in the lives of individuals by joining our team of over 200 volunteers.

Volunteer opportunities at Family and Children's Association are varied and diverse. Working with teenagers, assisting children in our daycare nursery, mentoring adolescents, or helping seniors, volunteers are links in the network of services that are taking care of people's needs.

I myself was told about this organization from a friend. It is based on long Island and I firmly beleive that any organization that truly strives to add quality and make a difference in the lives of children and adults must be quality and is something that people should invest themselves in.
