Mission Statement

The Bridge of Faith (BOF) strives to change the generational cycle and status-quo that exists for girls who were victims of inadequate parenting and the results of the foster care experience. We provide a safe HOME (Home, Opportunity Meets Emancipation), emotional support, and life-skills to girls who have aged out of foster care and women facing homelessness. Bridge of Faith makes a positive impact by helping women to become women of purpose within their communities.

Description

Bridge of Faith H.O.M.E.(Home Opportunity Meets Emancipation) is "after-care" for former foster youth. We have 3 homes a place to call home providing a sense of permanency centered on emotion healing. We introduce our girls to the idea of family time, which reinforces stability in their lives, building trust and learn how to become part of a family unit. We also have homes for those with children of their own. Homelessness hurts, we provide 5,000 safe nights for our girls each year. Not looking for a quick fix, but a lasting result. We strive to help them find their Value, realizes her Importance, and eventually learns her Purpose; becoming women of worth.

Our retail store, Bridge of Faith Up*Scale Collectibles. The store raises community awareness, serves as a drop-in counseling center, and as a job-training place for the Bridge of Faith residents. In addition, the store is a fundraising arm for the organizations. All proceeds benefit Bridge of Faith H.O.M.E.
