About 20,000 youth leave care (or, "age out" after the age of 18) every year without the means to go to college or a family to help and support them.

With guidance and support from a caring adult, children and youth in family foster care are capable of realizing their fullest human potential.
Families Helping Families (FHF) is designed to help children that are in the structure of the Department of Human Services. The Families Helping Families group provides help to foster families with immediate clothing needs upon placement as well as to help them in serving unexpected needs of children placed in their care.
Families Helping Families is focused on children. The members of Families Helping Families believe that it is important to make children feel as comfortable as possible in a very difficult situation. Families Helping Families' goal is to help meet the needs of these children.
