Mission Statement

At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals. Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. It is our firm belief that, working together, we will find the missing pieces of the puzzle. Autism Speaks. It's time to listen.

Description

Autism Speaks Walk is a fun-filled, family friendly event and is our single most powerful force to fund vital research that will lead us to the answers we need. Experience the power of thousands united by a single cause by joining Autism Speaks Walk. Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder - we need more volunteers to join our fight.

Every 20 minutes, another family receives the devastating news that their child has autism. Help us change that!

They don't help people with autism or their families adjust to life with this disability. They want to cure it. They focus all their research money on how to cure it instead of figuring out the REAL causes. Do not support Autism Speaks. If you don't believe me, look up any articles about them from the last year. From TRUSTED news sources (Times, Chronicle, etc.) I can say with confidence that your time and money is better spent somewhere else.
