Center for Teaching International Relations
After 40 years as an outreach arm of the University of Denver, the Center for Teaching International Relations is forming its own 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to continue to promote K-12 global education.
The World Affairs Challenge, CTIR's key program, was created over 19 years ago to help secondary students engage in global topics and better understand their world. The 3-part event challenges students to research global topics, study current events, create engaging presentations, and develop critical thinking, leadership, and teambuilding skills.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Center for Teaching International Relations (CTIR) is to be a quality provider of global education services for youth, teachers, and schools by making international education an integral part of K- 12 education. CTIR helps K-12 teachers bring a global dimension to their classroom, and creates avenues for school-aged youth to engage directly in global issues.
