Acting with compassion and responsible stewardship through innovative programs that serve pets and the people who love them.

Description

All animals in our care are our clients. Each animal that enters the protection of the HSSA will be treated with dignity and respect from loving, responsible, well-trained caregivers, during every moment it remains under our guardianship. Our commitment to our animals is to provide them with safety, comfort, and the best possible stay within our walls, as well as to use all available means to find each animal a responsible, devoted, and permanent home.

At the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, we provide animal care and housing, adoption counseling, a lost-and-found program, animal cruelty prevention training, spay/neuter services, vaccination clinics, community outreach programs, and more.

Hi! I would like to say that volunteering with the AZ Humane Society was a very rewarding experience. They were easy to work with to get trained.

Everyone is amazing and so helpful. The best part is getting to work with the animals, of course!

It should be noted on their profile that there is a $15 charge for the orientation class. I think more people would chose this organization if they didn't have to fork over $15.

I have been a foster mom for the Humane Society for over 3 years. I love fostering for this organization. There is plenty of support and trainging, and there are plenty of helpful resources like other volunteers who act as mentors for people with questions.
