Galapagos Charter School

Description

Galapagos Charter Schools runs two elementary charter schools focused on high expectations, strong academic focus, and preparing scholars to graduate from college. Charter schools in Illinois are free, public schools open to any resident of the district where the schools are located. Galapagos has intentionally chosen to open schools in areas which have been traditionally underserved in order to provide a superior education to children from low income families.

Galapagos Chicago is located on the west side of the city and serves scholars in grades K-8. Galapagos Rockford has two school sites in Rockford. Our Lower Academy serves grades K-5 and Upper Academy 6-8.
