The Capistrano Community Mariachi Program (CCMP) offers a high-quality music education structured for both beginning students with no previous musical experience and for intermediate and advanced students with musical knowledge of a traditional mariachi instrument. CCMP aims to introduce and develop basic musical skills of traditional mariachi instruments such as the guitar, vihuela, guitarrĂ³n, trumpet, and violin. The program Like any other type of music genre, mariachi is meant for all ages and ethnicities; therefore this program encourages people, ages six and up, from all cultural backgrounds to partake in this exciting program.
