YouthPride was founded in 1995 as a safe space for LGBTQQ youth. Eventually the organization evolved into a safe supportive development center. Since 1995 the organization has swelled significantly and currently receives 4500 visits per year. The agency receives 1150 new membership applications per year. YouthPride is in its third location, a 4100 square foot facility located in Inman Park. Even at this location, YouthPride is outgrowing the spaces, continuously improving current programs, and looking for new initiatives to meet the needs of our youth. Ultimately, YouthPride plans to offer a free medical clinic for youth. YouthPride boasts 15 consistent discussion and therapy forums that include targeted programming for teens, young adults, males, females, transgendered, parents, and youth of color. YouthPride even has a helpline which operates 365 days per year 24 hours per day.
