I was thrilled to find CWEALF through VolunteerMatch. I have been a volunteer on CWEALF's Information and Referral line for years and it has been such a rewarding experience. This is a wonderful organization that works hard for equity and the rights of all it serves through advocacy, education and the Information and Referral line. I would encourage anyone looking to have a direct impact on individuals' lives to volunteer with CWEALF.

I have volunteered for CWEALF for almost three years doing legal information and referral. If you are passionate about issues that affect women, this is the place for you. CWEALF's mission is to empower women to make informed choices to strengthen their lives and their families.

I volunteered for the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund for a year while I applied to law school, and came back during my first winter break to volunteer some more because I found it so rewarding. CWEALF is an organization of inspiring and caring people who are providing vital information and resources to vulnerable women. I looked forward to every day I spent there, and always came feeling like I’d helped make a difference. I can’t recommend working with CWEALF highly enough.

I loved my time volunteering for CWEALF! The organization’s mission is great, the staff is wonderful, and the volunteer work is meaningful. I volunteered for the Information and Referral line and really enjoyed getting to talk to clients, offer them important information and referrals, and know that I was making a difference in their lives. The staff at CWEALF is fantastic. They are incredibly dedicated to their work, knowledgeable, friendly, and always available when you have questions. They went out of their way to make me feel like I was part of the team. I also volunteered at CWEALF events, including their annual awards events. They were always very organized, gave great direction to volunteers, and made me feel like what I was doing was valuable. I highly recommend volunteering with CWEALF.

I had a great experience volunteering at CWEALF. The staff is extremely helpful. The organization offers monthly trainings, and various resources. I've learned a lot about family law, employment law, discrimination, and the CT court system. It was definitely a pleasant time, and I am thankful that my volunteering experience at CWEALF lead me to a full time job at a growing law firm.
