When their health begins to fail because of aging and/or neglect and they need their owners the most, senior pets are often cast away instead. Milagro steps in and places the pets into pre-approved, loving guardian homes where the environment is peaceful and nurturing, and they can spend their twilight years in comfort and trust, for however long or short that time may be. Milagro strives to restore the seniors to good health and comfort without employing extreme measures.
Milagro also accepts speaking engagements to promote adoption of senior pets and participation in Milagro's guardian program and also to educate the public as to the benefits of senior pet ownership and its positive impact on helping to reduce pet overpopulation generally.
Mission Statement
Milagro is a 501C3 non-profit, no-kill pet rescue organization that focuses its efforts exclusively on saving and rehabilitating homeless senior pets (10+ years old) that are in fragile health. The pets are placed into loving volunteer guardian homes where they are rehabilitated to the extent possible, and treasured for the remainder of their twilight years.
