Iduka Microloans

Our goal is to provide students and their families one more financial tool to help them in their pursuit of higher education. We make this possible by offering an innovative plan anchored in a Web-based micro-lending system that connects lenders with students and schools, and incorporates, whenever possible, student volunteerism as a mean for students to pay back their loans.

We are currently developing and implementing a pilot project in Africa, and we've engaged over 3000 local student intern volunteers and community organizers in almost every single African country since we started in the Fall of 2010.

Would you recommend Iduka Microloans?

I strongly recommend the iduka organization to a friend because l have volunteered with this organization as a community organizer, here in Uganda and l have seen some testimonial about it's work, for instance, there is guy in Kenya called Neville, who has prospered in his education through iduka.so this, 100% inspires me to recommend the iduka organization to any friend. Secondary most African parents and their children find a lot of worries especially in issues concerning education .Reason being that most of them are below poverty line and by the fact that education is becoming valuable each and every day, parents have never rested their mind in regarding education of their children .Both parents and their children in African countries have actually suffered this psychosocial torture .But if iduka has come up to micro-Financing education after secondary ,why can't African parents recommend for its further spreading? long live iduka. Great grassroots organization dedicated to helping students achieve their college dreams. You too can make an impact by volunteering your time and expertise in supporting and extending the reach of this grassroots initiative. At Iduka we advocate pragmatic and innovative solutions. We welcome all volunteers, including micro-volunteers, who identify with our cause and are willing to devote their time and expertise to the dream of making higher education possible for underserved students in need of financial assistance. Any amount of time you can give is appreciated and many times you can volunteer from home. Our many micro-task forces are constantly in need of talent in various areas. We currently need assistance in the following areas: legal microfinance technology grant writing online marketing fund raising To volunteer in any of these capacities, contact www.iduka.org or via phone at 772-335-9030.
