Although it has been some years since I volunteered with Samaritans, it was one of the most interesting and enriching experiences of my life. They honor the heritage of the organization which has been helping people for many many years. The training of the volunteers is a wonderful experience in itself and it is truly impressive how well they prepare volunteers to talk to people in crisis. Most importantly, I believe I made a difference in people's lives as a Samaritans volunteer.
