Mission Statement

Street Teens mission is to empower homeless teens to move from a high risk "street life" to one of stable self sufficiency.

Description

A non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk teens. The Street Teens Assistance Center in Las Vegas, NV. provides basic support (food, clothing, hygiene products) to homeless teens. After helping with their basic needs, we work to develop a long term relationship based on mutual trust and respect. We help empower these teens by providing or guiding them to additional resources that will enable them to improve their lives. We help supply identification, health cards, transportation, pre-paid telephone cards, a return mailing address, and answering service. Education, counseling, drug rehabilitation, family reunification, employment, housing, legal aid, medical, and dental services are among the services we attempt to make available to these teens. It is very difficult moving from life on the streets into mainstream society. We help these teens gradually move from a high risk "street life" to one of stable self sufficiency. We are funded entirely by private donations and staffed by dedicated volunteers. All of the donations go directly to providing services for our homeless teens.
