Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Baltimore

The Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Baltimore is an affiliate of the Youth Volunteer Corps of America, an international organization. YVCGB's programs include Learn and Serve America and America's Promise. Members of YVCGB write and perform Power Plays for their peers and other audiences. A relatively new addition is the YVCGB Community Choir, directed by Mr. Cornell Williams. Youth and adults volunteers have participated in "Make A Difference Day", "National Family Day", "Youth Volunteer Day", "Martin Luther King Day Of Service", Lead Prevention activities, Intergenerational projects, tutoring, gardening, and community improvement and awareness activities.

Mission Statement

To create and increase volunteer opportunities to enrich Baltimore's youth, address community needs, and develop a lifetime commitment to service.
