Being a child advocate for abused and neglected children through CASA of Central Virginia allows you to take a part in helping these children that have been through so much. You give the child a voice in the court and make sure that they are getting proper care while in foster care. You don't have to have any previous experience as an advocate to volunteer with CASA. CASA will give you all of the training and support you need to do an effective job as an advocate for abused and neglected children. I encourage everyone to do something to give back to their community, especially for these children that voices are forgotten and need someone to desperately listen to them and speak up for them.
