Largo Recreation, Parks and Arts Dept. mission statement: To strengthen the community by creating memorable experiences through education, recreation, parks and arts.

Description

Small municipal town with approximately 75,000 residents. The first city in Florida to be nationally accredited by the National Recreation & Parks Association. We offer a very wide range of program opportunities, from, preschool age to seniors. We have nine facilities for our participants, including Central Park. We have eight developed "open" parks and four athletic facilities. All operations run 12 months out of the year. Send us an e-mail with your home address and we'll send you our "Play" magazine.

I worked for the City of Largo recreation dept. 8 O'Clock Theatre, when I relocated to FLorida in the early 90's. I have watched the city grow. Now that I am retired I would like to volunteer at their wonderful theatre.
