The Foundation operates programs that teach knowledge and skills that benefit young people ages 4-18 years old, and their families, as well as the public such as an After-School, Arts, and Summer programs that include homework assistance and tutoring; a teen service-learning project; on-site college prep program; computer learning center; high-tech computer job development & entrepreneurial program for teens and young adults; lending library; teen life skills progam, and a feeding and Free lunch program.
Mission Statement
The New Zion Community Development Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community development corporation formed by the New Zion Baptist Church in 1998 for the purpose of providing educational, economic, and physical programming, development, and empowerment for the residents of the Park DuValle and surrounding Empowerment/Enterprise Zone neighborhoods.
