We are a local chapter of Amnesty International. We have a monthly meeting for business and letter writting.Additional groups meet to work on specific projects or actions, such as Prisoner of Conscience action file, death penalty issues, human rights reading and discussion group and more.
Mission Statement
Amnesty International is a global grassroots organization. The focus of our work is to: Free all prisoners of conscience Ensure fair and prompt trials for all political prisoners Abolish torture, executions and other cruel treatment End extra-judicial executions and disapperances.
