Appointed by judges to help on the most heart-breaking cases in the foster care system, CASAs help abused and neglected children navigate the Worcester County Juvenile Courts, one child or sibling group at a time. CASAs report the best interests of the children to the judge, who uses the reports in their evaluation and decision on each case.

Thank you for viewing this opportunity! We can use your help. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers help abused children to find safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. CASA advocates fact-find and submit Court reports to the Worcester County Juvenile Court. CASA advolcates also advocate for needed educational, medical, and mental/behavioral health services while the child is in the care of the state. A CASA volunteer works with one child or sibling group at a time. All of the children are victims, and 70% are under 12 years old. Approximately 40% of CASA's children are under 6 years old. We need both men and women! Men are encouraged to apply, since half of CASA's children are boys. CASA takes about 6-10 hours per month, and most activities are done at the CASA volunteer's convenience. That's it! CASA provides free volunteer training classes. CASA also provides professional guidance and support for every CASA volunteer. If you can find two or three hours per week to help, The CASA Project needs you. Call The CASA Project @ 508-757-9877 or visit our website: www.casaworcester.org or email us at volunteers@thecasaproject.org Our short application can be found at https://www.thecasaproject.org/volunteer/volunteer-application/ Thank you!

Thank you for looking at this opportunity. This is for a VOLUNTEER opportunity. If you have a heart for helping children in foster care, we would LOVE to hear from you. CASA works with children that have been abused and/or neglected and are currently in the foster care system. You will be trained to become an advocate for the child(ren) on your case so that you can help the courts know what is in the best interest of the child in terms of helping them find a permanent "forever" home. You will be the "eyes and the ears" for the judge by visiting the child(ren) once a month. You will advocate for what would be best for the child in terms of their future placement, typically to be reunified with their biological parents or to find a new adoptive home. This is such an important work and is rewarding both to see your impact on helping a child have a voice as well as to enrich your own life. To take the first step in joining our volunteer team, please complete the short application which can be found here: https://www.thecasaproject.org/volunteer/volunteer-application/ Please contact us today at 508-TRY-CASA x106, go to www.thecasaproject.org, or email us. Don't wait! We would love to get you helping a child as soon as possible! Thank you!
