The Department of Children and Families is committed to working in partnership with local communities to ensure safety, well-being and self-sufficiency for the people we serve.

Description

The Department of Children and Families is a state social service organization. Community Resources meets the needs of the elderly and disabled adults, families living at or below the poverty level, children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned or disabled children beyond the government programs such as Food Stamps, welfare, or Medicaid. This part of the department is not funded and relies on donations of time, goods and services from the community to meet those needs.
