Description

Programming & Events: MADD conducts victim impact panels annually, reaching thousands of drunk or drugged driving offenders, including first and repeat offenders. These panels feature testimonials from bereaved victims. Signature events include the holiday red ribbon program "Driving Change," encouraging a sober holiday season. We partner with Michigan law enforcement agencies, host the Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon, and organize Walk like MADD, a prominent community awareness event in late summer/fall.

Volunteer Opportunities: MADD Michigan operates remotely, offering both virtual and in-person volunteer roles.

  • Remote Opportunities:
    • Assist with community research and outreach, fostering community partnerships.
    • Contribute to victim support by updating resources and expanding our database.
    • Join event planning committees like Walk Like MADD or coordinate Law Enforcement Recognition events.
    • Support youth prevention programs by connecting with schools and youth organizations.
  • In-person Opportunities:
    • Represent MADD at community events, spreading awareness about our mission and victim services.
    • Contribute to in-person events such as the Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon, Walk like MADD, and victim impact panels.
    • Explore volunteer roles in expanding our Power of Youth Prevention programs, focusing on educating young people about the dangers of underage drinking.
