Description

Hammonds House Galleries and Resource Center of African American Art is located in a midnineteenth century house in Atlanta's historic West End Community. The museum opened in February 1988, with the pioneering support of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners who provided initial seed money, the east lake Victorian house and the art collection of the late Dr. Otis Thrash Hammonds.
