In March of 1999, a diverse group of business, community, and religious organizations accepted the Governor's call to action and the Utah Foster Care Foundation was formed. The Foundation acquired responsibility from the state for finding, educating, and nurturing foster families for thousands of children in crisis. Utah's children in crisis are special because they are in state's custody through no fault of their own. They are children who need the attention and support of the whole community. Utah needs quality volunteers who understand that helping children who have been removed from their homes is highly rewarding.
