Went to an initial training. Appeared to be excellent organization. Just not a good fit for me personally.

I have volunteered for the YWCA for almost 4 years. This is an amazing organization that dedicates it's life to helping woman in need within our community via various methods. It's been a pleasure helping in any small way that I can and I look forward to continuing to assist the YWCA in accomplishing their mission and purpose. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to help!

I have been a volunteer in the YWCA's Financial Empowerment Program for the past two years. It is a fantastic program for the participants and an enriching activity for me personally. I find it rewarding to help my students gain financial knowledge and build new skills. The experience also provides me with a healthy challenge as every class and student is different. It is humbling to interact with such a diverse group of students. The support provided by the YW staff has completely exceeded my expectations. The staff truly appreciate and try to connect with their volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator, in particular, is terrific. She works hard to build a volunteer community, takes a genuine interest in each of her volunteers, and has an incredible knack for understanding each volunteer's strengths and interests and finding activities that cater to their needs. She is passionate, committed, and a wonderful and willing mentor. I highly recommend volunteering with the YWCA.

Volunteering for the YWCA has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I've ever had. The organization's programs truly help Dallas county communities, and it is fantastic to be apart of that. The YWCA's staff is amazing. They are accessible and friendly, and they are willing to accomodate your schedule. Volunteering for the YWCA is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded volunteers as well as make a noticeable impact on people's lives. I am very happy with my experience with the organization.

The YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas has truly provided me with the greatest opportunities to give back to the community. The programs that I have participated in have been very relevant to what I was hoping to be a part of, and I have met some of the most awesome people in the staff, and in the individuals seeking the services that they offer. I have and will continue to recommend the YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas to anyone that I know has a desire to participate in enhancing the lives of others, and give back to the community. They have a way of making you feel as if you are a part of their family regardless of whether you are a staff member, a volunteer, or someone seeking their services, and for that the experiences gained are priceless.
