SCORE needs bi-lingual mentors who can help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners whose first language is not English by providing business expertise, support, and the necessary tools to help them reach their goals. As a mentor you will use your industry-based knowledge and expertise to help clients solve problems, increase business efficiency, and assist with developing long-term business plans. Mentors often have significant experience within their field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to dedicate a few hours a week. Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

A SCORE Mentor is an adviser who helps individuals and small businesses reach their goals. Mentors provide free business advice and education to aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners. As a mentor, you’ll help clients solve problems, make businesses more efficient, and assist with developing business plans. You get to set your own schedule of virtual or in-person meetings with your assigned Clients. The commitment usually falls between 2 to 6 hours per week, but you can pause your schedule or expand it as desired. You'll join an iconic organization, with more than 10,000 volunteer Mentors nationwide. The ideal mentor is empathetic, flexible, and loves connecting people to the right resources. Mentors often have significant experience within their field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to dedicate a few hours a week. SCORE, America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs and small businesses, is a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country and 10,000 volunteers offering free business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

For over 50 years, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small business nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.

We provide:

Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
Free business tools, templates and tips online
Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)

Having been a SCORE volunteer mentor since 2008 working with many SCORE small business clients and other volunteers - It is a rewarding experience for all. Assisting new businesses, or established businesses seeking help, it is great to offer skills, experience to enable others to explore and launch their ideas and energies into the community. SCORE volunteers can bring their business experience and can also work with other volunteers to co-mentor small businesses by collaborating to answer questions. Small business start-up can seem overwhelming to those wanting to start one, however, SCORE volunteers can ease that concern and process.
