Description

The RSVP Volunteer Center focuses on providing resources to volunteers and agencies, and meeting gaps in services available, through our signature programs as well as our non-profit partners. We serve all of Grafton and Sullivan Counties in New Hampshire.

Signature programs meeting gaps in services and providing volunteers with opportunities for leadership and training include : Good Morning! volunteers serve from home by providing telephone reassurance calls to elders living alone, or family caregivers, helping to reduce isolation and increase personal safety. A no impact weight training class taught by trained volunteers, RSVP Bone Builders helps older adults increase bone density and balance, thereby decreasing the risks of osteoporosis. 14 sites and 17 classes in Grafton and Sullivan Counties, with over 400 elders participating regularly throughout the year. Screened Chore Corps volunteers help elders live in their own homes and communities longer by making small repairs, doing errands and chores; we also partner with community groups such as Rotary, Youth in Action, and Aquinas House.

Additionally, we work with agencies which have opportunties for volunteers to provide transportation to folks, and those providing Meals on Wheels services.
