For more than 30 years The Tender had provided a safe, structured, home-like setting in which those over age 60 can make friends and participate in activities, pet therapy, gardening, intergenerational activities, music, exercise and receive meals and peer support. In addition The Tender cares for those suffering from Alzheimer's Disease or other dementias by providing personalized care in a small group setting, supervision and sensory stimulation as well as support, education and referrals for caregivers.
Mission Statement
The Tender is an adult day center providing care to frail seniors and persons with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. We also have a transportation program that provides rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping to homebound seniors.
In addition our CARES program provides support to caregivers in the form of information, education and a support group on the first Tuesday of each month.
