Helping out at the Salvation Army was such a great experience. That day we painted a class room, and during recess some of the kids were peeking through the window with excitement to see their new room transform. I think the best part of volunteering is being able to see your actions brighten up someone's day and seeing the kids joyful definitely solidified that. The people who run this program are friendly and genuinely down to earth people. They even provided us meals and coffee throughout the day. I would highly recommend doing this.

Let me say first, that I would like to volunteer with this organization, but it seems that either I am blind or this page has no place or button that can pushed. I am not in a position to speak on something I do not know a lot about, I look forward to a reply or invite. Even more I would like to volunteer in different ways as well. I live at the Salvation Army here in Jacksonville and I would like to also volunteer where I can do the most good. There are many things that I know how to do, being that I am ex-military.
