Mission Statement
Monday Night Hospitality and it companion social services effort, Outreach Information Services, provides over 17,000 meals a year to those most in need (the homeless, elderly, unemployed and poor) in a unique setting. Every Monday, without fail, over 100 volunteers serve a hot, home cooked meal in a restaurant style setting with flatware, tablecloths, flowers and music. The goal is to create an atmosphere of dignity and respect such that our guests can leave us feeling that they are indeed loved and comforted and a part of our community.
Description
With the shelter system bursting in New York City we have seen our resources stretched. After the meal, guests are encouraged to see our social workers (licensed) to seek referrals to city, state and federal services. We advocate for housing and an end to poverty that has become all too pervasive in parts of this city.
Come help serve a hot, healthy, home cooked meal to more than 300 of our neighbors in need. Volunteers act as servers, wait staff and kitchen crew in a restaurant style setting. Join a great group of New Yorkers 52 Mondays a year trying to make a difference for those who need it most.

Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. Hair up or under a hat if needed. Plan to be there until 9pm for clean-up
