Mission Statement

To transform the lives of children and youth who experience significant challenges that places them at-risk of underachievement and school failure by providing programs and services that (1) address educational, social, cultural, and economic needs; (2) promote educational equity in closing the gap between opportunity and achievement;(3)offer opportunities for experiential learning that improve academic and social skills that promote academic success in a holistic, caring and supportive environment that will lead to a quality way of life from youth to adulthood.

Description

EDEC is a 501(c)(3 ) non-profit organization that provides educational programs and services to children and youth, especially children and youth who are disadvantaged, under served and homeless and in transition in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Metropolitan area. EDEC specializes in developing and offering programs and services that are tailored to individual and group needs. These educational programs and services promote a holistic approach to academics, interpersonal, life and leadership skills and build self-esteem that lead to a better quality of life.
