Art Intern 2015

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our Event Team to assist in the production of Venice Family Clinic’s three anchor events: Children’s Holiday Movie(Dec), Silver Circle Gala (March), and Venice Art Walk (May). Work closely with one of the leading development teams in the non-profit industry that raises over $10M each year.

Volunteers will support in the management of emerging donors and interface with external stakeholders as needed. This is a great role that provides volunteers with invaluable leadership experience as volunteers are equipped to lead teams throughout the year. Be part of a passionate team that helps provide over 24,000 low-income men, women, and children with access to comprehensive and compassionate health care.

These roles are ideally suited to candidates with an interest in art, non-profit fundraising, development, events and marketing. No prior experience in these areas is necessary but passion and a knowledge for them is a plus. All roles are part-time and unpaid; however students may be eligible to earn college credit for their service hours.

Roles Include:

  • Sponsorship Sales
  • Booking-Music Marketing
  • Special Events
  • Artist Collections
  • Artist Studio Tour Curator

About Venice Family Clinic

Location:

2509 Pico Blvd, Venice, CA 90291, US

Mission Statement

To provide quality primary health care to people in need.

Description

Over the past 50 years, Venice Family Clinic’s mission of providing quality primary health care to people in need hasn’t changed, but its scope has broadened dramatically. Today, the Clinic has about 400 staff members and more than 1,300 volunteers who serve 28,000 patients, without regard for their ability to pay or immigration status. Its programs have expanded beyond primary medical care to include dental, vision, behavioral health, exercise classes, health education, early childhood development - and street medicine for people experiencing homelessness, to ensure even the most vulnerable of its neighbors get the medical care they deserve.

Our Volunteer Services Department strives to recruit and connect the best volunteers possible with almost every department within the clinic. We work to provide support to the volunteers as well as the clinic teams whom they help. Every year, we work with over 1400 volunteers, including approximately 500 provider volunteers. Our department helps with recruiting, training, scheduling, and general upkeep of all volunteers.
