The front register volunteers are the first people a shopper sees at the ReStore. We're looking for people who like to interact with people throughout the day and feel comfortable running a cash register. Experience running a register is not required, just a desire to learn! Responsibilities:

• Process all transactions through the cash register
• Provide assistance in answering customer questions
• Call for help and assistance when needed
• Provide excellent customer service in person or over the phone
• Keep up with current sales and specials

• Knowledge of and commitment to the philosophy of Habitat for Humanity
• Cooperative attitude
• Great customer service toward donors and ReStore customers
• Ability to work closely with staff, donors, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and customers
• Ability to operate independently, requiring little supervision
• Ability to recognize product categories, and assign items appropriately in the POS system
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift at least 20 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• After a 3-4 week "audition" period, a long-term commitment is needed

When: One three or four hour shift once a week Tuesday: 10am-2pm, 2pm-5pm Wednesday: 2pm-5pm Thursday: 10am-2pm, 2pm-5pm Saturday: 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm
