TX Rustlers Guinea Pig & Love Somebunny Rabbit

WHAT:
Spend 1-2 hours feeding fresh veggies, hay, and pellets to the small animals at the rescue. You'll find guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, and more who can't wait for their evening meals! They know when food is coming and "wheek!" with happiness and thanks for the food. This shift can be done on your own schedule, as long as all the animals are fed before midnight.

WHEN:
These opportunities are open every day except Saturdays, in the afternoons/evenings.
Morning shifts are available as well, please see the AM Guinea Pig & Rabbit Caregiver opportunity.

We prefer volunteers to come once a week or once every other week, but we will work with your schedule!

WHY:
This is a great opportunity to gain experience providing excellent care for small animals that normally get overlooked and underserved. You can volunteer here to give your love and compassion to animals that desperately need it without having them live with you. Parents are welcome to bring along responsible kids to expose them to proper care and responsibility.

Mission Statement

Texas Rustlers Small Animal Rescue saves the lives of small animals in need through sanctuary, adoption, awareness, and education.

Description

Texas Rustlers Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of abandoned, neglected and abused guinea pigs, rabbits, and other small animals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond. We offer a home for life to any small animal that enters our organization, whether at our Rescue or at a suitable adoptive home.

Our Rescue provides advice, support, and supplies to small animal caregivers in order to encourage a lifelong commitment to those animals. When this is not possible, we assist in the placement of animals into other suitable accommodations.

Texas Rustlers is committed to ending the cycle of neglect and abuse in small animals. By providing education and resources on proper small animal care and creating public awareness, we can provide a better life to all small animals in need.
