Do you love to read? Would you like to instill that same love of reading to a child?
The Breakfast Bookworm program works with 12 Henderson elementary schools to introduce children to books and give them time to improve their reading skills. Parents are encouraged to attend the early morning program to share reading time with them. A light breakfast is provided to all.
The volunteer would assist a HopeLink Staff member with book distribution, food distribution, and clean-up after reading time.
Breakfast Bookworm is done in the early hours of the morning anywhere from 6am to 8am depending on the school. The coordinator will send you a list of schools and times when you sign up to volunteer.
