The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc. is looking for volunteers to provide direct services to crime victims and their families.
CVC provides supportive services to victims of all crimes in Chester County through two 24-hour hotlines, counseling/advocacy services, medical and legal accompaniment, and educational programs. All of our services are provided at no cost to the recipient and are confidential.
Each year, CVC serves over 5,000 victims of crime, and we could not do this without our volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers to assist staff after business hours to answer hotline calls and provide crisis support to victims. You can also provide accompaniment to victims at hospitals or police stations. Represent CVC at community fairs and special events. A fulfilling opportunity for anyone hoping to gain hands-on experience!
All volunteers must complete a 40-hour training, as mandated by the state of Pennsylvania. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and live in Chester County.
The next training will be in June 2018. Volunteers must attend all days of the training course.
