VOLUNTEER DUTIES SUMMARY
Sea Mar’s Latino Senior Nutrition & Outreach Program was created in 1988.
In 2009, more than 201 seniors, age 60 and older, were served in our program. We provide healthy, fun and age-appropriate activities, including health education, at various senior centers in King County. Volunteers will visit senior community centers in their local area where they will help lead group health education discussions, nutrition discussions, and recreational and therapeutic activities. Volunteers will enjoy social interaction and companionship with the seniors.
Opportunities are available in the South Park Senior Center, Bellevue, Kirkland, Sea Tac, Federal Way and Des Moines Community Centers.
