ORGANIZATION: Elder Wisdom Circle

Do you have wisdom to share? Are you 60 or better and enjoy offering guidance to younger generations?

Members of the Elder Wisdom Circle are seniors who share their wisdom with young advice seekers from across the world. Via the Internet, Elders answer advice requests at their own convenience, offering young readers personalized and free advice on a wide range of topics - love and relationships, family and child-rearing, career and self-improvement, and more.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Elder Wisdom Circle has more than 600 Elders (aged 60 to 105) across North America. The EWC program and our Elders have been featured on ABC, BBC, CBS, FOX, NPR and in such publications as Glamour, the LA Times, Ladies Home Journal, Real Simple, Time & USA Today. We are one of the largest providers of personal advice, with hundreds of thousands of readers.

We are looking for seniors in your area to help expand our national reach. Please visit our site atwww.ElderWisdomCircle.org and then the 'Offer Advice' tab on the top of the homepage. All advice providers must be 60 or better, no exceptions. Volunteers must complete an application and screening process.

About Elder Wisdom Circle

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for seniors to utilize their life experience and wisdom to help others by offering thoughtful and helpful advice to younger generations

Description

We are a web-based nonprofit service organization that pairs online advice seekers in their teens, 20's and 30's with a nationwide network of Cyber-Grandparents, aged 55 to 105, who share their hard-earned knowledge and wisdom. Our Elder members participate individually from their home computers or in groups at retirement communities (with the help of a facilitator). Anyone with access to the Internet can request anonymous advice on any topic and will receive a personalized e-mail response in return. The voice of experience is hip, sincere, and highly sought after by people of all ages; we are the most popular source of free online advice in the country. The Elder Wisdom Circle has been featured on ABC, CBS, BBC, NPR, and in many publications including USA Today and Time.
