UniversalGiving, a social entrepreneurship nonprofit organization located in the SOMA district of San Francisco, is seeking an "Innovation/Trend Watcher" to join the UniversalGiving team. In this position, the Intern will be responsible for monitoring the latest innovations in our world, covering our global marketplace, social media, CSR, and much more, per the CEO’s direction.
You must have a strong forte for excellence in research. This role will span multiple departments, but will focus first and primarily on assistance to the CEO, Pamela Hawley, helping her on innovation. Duration: Minimum 15-20 hours per week, ideal candidate is available Tuesday through Friday 9am-5pm for the duration of the internship (3-4 mo internship)
Qualifications:
- Excellent research skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Strong ability to process information and convey findings and ideas to team members
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in a collaborative/team based environment
- Interest in global issues nonprofit work, international issues, and philanthropy
